★ REFRESHMENT ★
In Strong's Concordance, "refreshment" primarily refers to spiritual and physical revival, relief, or cooling down, often from exhaustion or anxiety. Key Hebrew (naphash) and Greek (anapsyxis, anapsucho) terms signify taking a breath, being revived, or finding "cooling" relief.
When you turn from bad behaviours and evil thinking, repent, and say sorry to Yahusha Alahim then comes refreshment from Yahusha Alahim's presence.
If you are not able to turn from sin yourself alone, again if you are battling something in a trial; no matter the reason, then comes fellowship!
In the context of fellowship (koinonia), "refreshment" specifically refers to the act of reviving another person's spirit or soul, often by relieving their burdens, exhaustion, or anxiety through mutual encouragement and practical care.
In Strong’s Concordance, the primary Greek word used for this type of fellowship-based refreshment is anapauo (G373). It describes a profound spiritual and emotional rejuvenation to Yahusha Alahim that happens when one believer "lightens the load" for another.
“…a dishonest witness spitting out lies, and a person who spreads conflict among relatives.”

We are all relatives in Yahusha Alahim. We are brothers and sisters united under one Spirit. We share in his likeness and we are like glowing beacons in the darkness to those who are our brothers and sisters and those who are in the world. We all share in divine power. There should be no discord among us even when offense is present. This is because we are set apart in attitude and behavior in order to gain the ultimate Sweetness. Therefore, our behaviors must match at all times, especially when around those who you are to fellowship with.
Living in community builds "spiritual muscle" that cannot be developed in isolation; Iron Sharpening Iron(Proverbs 27:17), believers refine each other through honest conversation and mutual accountability. Gathering is intended to "stir up" others toward love and good works, acting as a safeguard against spiritual drift.

The relationship between fellowship and "refreshment" is one of source and overflow. While the "times of refreshing" mentioned in Acts 3:19 come directly from Yahusha's presence, fellowship is the primary way that refreshing is experienced and shared between people.
In Yahusha Alahim, lightening the load for another is a duty rooted in the second commandment—the command to love one another as He has loved us. It involves active, sacrificial participation in the struggles of others to bring them the refreshment of His presence. Everyone has the power to overcome but not everyone can activate it because they are still weak and drinking the milk of the Word.
If a brother or sister is burdened by the weight of sin or moral failure, lightening their load means restoring them with gentleness and humility rather than judgment. This "sharing of the load" helps them find the path back to Yahusha Alahim. The most direct biblical equivalent is from Galatians 6:2, which literally means to "pick up" or "carry" the extra weight a brother is struggling with.
Refreshing the spirit / heart: Often used by the Apostle Paul (as in Philemon 1:7), this phrase describes a deep emotional rejuvenation where one person's love "resets" the soul of another: agape love. Do you exhibit agape love or do your words bring judgement and discord among the brethren?
The "more excellent way" referenced in 1 Corinthians 12:31 is agape love—a self-denying, sacrificial love for God and others. While spiritual gifts (like prophecy or knowledge) are important, they are temporary and meaningless without love. This better way emphasizes building up others, patience, kindness, and humility over personal ambition, according to 1 Corinthians 12:31. In order to perform agape love you must enter in through the fruits of the spirit and care for your fellow brother and sister. This way pushes out ambition and brings us all into Yahusha's marvellous light, into his saving grace, into his loving arms as we put off the old man and put on the new.
If fellowship feels like a heavy burden then we should look at our own hearts and realize that there should be change in our behaviors and how we treat one another. This is a very good indicator tool to realize where we stand. If we cannot love one another without looking for a reward but looking to strengthen one another in a genuine relationship and sense then we tend to have a competitors relationship with our brothers and sisters which should not be so for those who truly want a change in behavior and how they perceive the world. You can start today to care for one another as Yahusha Alahim has cared for you, has refreshed you when you turned from sin and evil ways, and has led you into a love, into goodness unlike any other.
