WHAT is "OVERCOMING" or "TO OVERCOME" ???? The Scripture says in 1 Yahukanon (John) 5:3-4 "For this is the love of Yahuah, that we guard His Commands, and His Commands are not difficult, because everyone having been begotten of Yahuah, overcomes the world. And this is the overcoming that has overcome the world : our belief.........

How do we do this "overcome the world thing"??? First we need to know what the word "OVERCOME" "really means. So that we can apply it to our lives. Lets look at the hebrew meaning first . . . (now go through all the meanings) . . .
Strong's Hebrew Lexicon Search Results for "OVERCOME" : >>1464 guide - goode a primitive root (akin to 1413); to crowd upon, i.e. attack:--invade, overcome.
>>1986 halam haw-lam' - a primitive root; to strike down; by implication, to hammer, stamp, conquer, disband:--beat (down), break (down), overcome, smite (with the hammer).

It is obvious from this research above on the word "OVERCOME," that we should treat the world a certain way and with caution, especially when the world tries to dominate our circumstances by changing our behaviour. We need to draw on the above truths and take action against this influence.
3898 is pretty emphatic in its description of what behaviour is needed to combat the world's influence in our life circumstances. 1896 also speaks volumes of how to combat this attack on our peace. This is of course the inner battle for dominance of every man and woman on earth to behave in the very behaviour that is contrary to turah.
The above Scripture tells us His Commands are not difficult because everyone being begotten of Yahuah overcomes the world. But of course this is only through our belief.
The temptations of the world are not just wickedness, but surprisingly delightful to the flesh, this is the major confusion, how can something so delightful be wrong. Of course without the Ruach and the Turah we cannot distinguish between right or wrong . . .
