SOVEREIGN LAW

Hebrew understanding "SOVEREIGN":

113 'adown aw-done' or (shortened) adon {aw-done'}; from an unused root (meaning to rule); sovereign, i.e. controller (human or divine):-- lord, master, owner. Compare also names beginning with “Adoni-".

Scripture understanding:

1. GALATIANS 2:16 "Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through belief in Yahusha Messiah, so we also have believed in Yahusha Messiah in order to be justified by belief in Messiah and not by works of the Law, because by works of the Law no one will be justified".

2. MATTHEW 22:36–40 “'Teacher, which is the great Commandment in the Law?' And He said to him, “You shall love Yahuah your Alahim with all your heart and with all your being and with all your mind. This is the great and first Commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two Commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

3. ROMANS 3:19–20 "Now we know that whatever the Law says it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to Alahim. For by works of the Law no human being will be justified in His sight, since through the Law comes knowledge of sin".

4. JOHN 1:16–17 "For from His fullness we have all received, favour upon favour. For the Law was given through Moses; favour and truth came through Yahusha Messiah".

5. Romans 2:12–16 "For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the Law. For it is not the hearers of the Law who are righteous before Alahim, but the doers of the Law who will be justified. For when Gentiles, who do not have the Law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a Law to themselves, even though they do not have the Law. They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them on that day when, according to my gospel, Yahusha judges the secrets of men by Yahusha Messiah".

6. 1 JOHN 3:4 "Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices Lawlessness, for sin is Lawlessness".

7. GALATIANS 6:2 "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the Law of Messiah".

8. ROMANS 13:8–10 "Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the Law. For the Commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,' and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: 'You shall love your neighbour as yourself.' Love does no wrong to a neighbour, therefore love is the fulfilling of the Law.

SUMMARY :

JAMES 2:8 "IF YOU TRULY ACCOMPLISH THE SOVEREIGN LAW ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURE, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS YOURSELF,' YOU DO WELL, BUT IF YOU SHOW PARTIALITY, YOU COMMIT SIN, BEING FOUND GUILTY BY THE LAW AS OFFENDERS".

This Sovereign Law (loving your neighbour as yourself) is also called Messiah's Law. This Law is a SUPERNATURAL BEHAVIOUR IN THE SPIRIT. The Law alone cannot deliver us, but requires us doing this Law. It is impossible to do this Sovereign/Messiah's Law (as behaviour) unless we have Messiah's Spirit in us (not just KNOWING the Law but DOING the Law.) Today many THINK (and I use the word 'THINK') they are doing this Law but they are not even filled with Messiah's Spirit, which enables this behaviour within our being to achieve the goal. In James it says WE ARE ALL CAPABLE OF ACCOMPLISHING THIS LAW THROUGH HIS SPIRIT.

Everything Yahusha did and said was in the supernatural presence of His Father. By doing the Sovereign Law we are encouraged into the SUPERNATURAL PRESENCE of Yahusha. The Sovereign Law is designed to bring us into His love. The Hebrew word 'Sovereign' shows us that this Law is the ruler and controller of the Ten Commandments, which could not save anyone. Only the love of Yahusha is our deliverance. To love your neighbour as you love yourself is the Sovereign Law (the ruler and controller of the Ten Commandments). And as the Scriptures above explain, we see that THIS COMMANDMENT COVERS THE TEN, bringing us to the realisation that this Sovereign Law is a part of the New Covenant Yahusha gave us. To be able to love your neighbour as yourself is no menial task, but is required of us to manifest in our behaviour.

The New Covenant is full of WONDERFUL SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCES which were squashed after the last Apostle died. Yahusha today is awakening many to His New Supernatural Covenant. He told us 'HIS REIGN IS NOT OF THIS WORLD'. We should be activating the supernatural experiences in our Assemblies and our homes with the knowledge that Yahusha reigns supernaturally in our hearts and wants our behaviour according to His Supernatural Words.

So Brothers and Sisters, can you see how Yahusha's Reign (through His Sovereign Law) is a behaviour that is NOT PART OF THIS WORLD. We live, act and behave according to the supernatural behavioural requirements that He has laid down for us to live. Of course, He is in Heaven/Shamayim, encouraging us, guiding us to put off all worldliness in our being, so we can approach Him in a state of cleanliness and purity, because He is pure, and He told us to be the same.

Yahusha loves us and wants us to communicate with Him. At His death He broke down all the barriers for this to happen. Men have wanted to interpret and be in control of His Word, closing again the barrier to the supernatural. We have been listening to men instead of His Spirit guiding us. The barriers that Yahusha broke down have always been open. We (being fools) listen to men instead of being guided by Yahusha's Spirit. Yahusha is still standing at the door of our heart knocking, seeking entrance. All this is going on in the Supernatural. If we bypass men and women, standing in the doorway ARGUING THE POINT, we can come into the SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCE of Yahusha. And that’s what He wants from us, to bless us with Eternal Life!
