Overcoming this world does not mean pushing away the people that love you, such as your husband or wife. If they also follow Yahusha they too are trying to overcome this world just as you are. You need to hold them close and ensure they know you love them, especially if they'll do anything for you and Yahusha.
We all know that masturbation is sin, however taking your husband/wife and consummating is not! Did you know that this is what Yahusha wants? Yahusha wants man and woman, husband and wife to consummate in order to keep the enemy out of the marriage home and not allow either to stumble - not just lay in the same bed running their own race, LIVING SEPARATELY HAVING THEIR OWN MINDS TO THEMSELVES even though living together. If Yahusha has given us a husband or wife, He wants us running the race together, working together, overcoming together, to help each other - to perfect one another - listening to Him and behaving obediently.
How can we overcome anything in this world if we are not working together? We have a total of 10 people in our house: husband, wife and 8 children. Yahusha brought us together so we could raise our children from previous relationships together. I will not say that it is easy but Yahusha wanted us together to help each other to overcome the things we need to. By working together and showing a united-front the children are learning that we discuss everything and there is no lying to either of us because we already know the truth. We are continually fighting the good battle with Satan’s evil spirits trying to tear us apart. There have been times where we’ve lost our way but with the help, guidance, understanding, love and forgiveness from Yahusha we are slowly overcoming each and every trial. We need to continue to work together running this race playing this game with our obedient behaviour and love for Yahusha. We have had many arguments in our house between all the children.
The other day I took my daughter aside and asked her to read Matthew 5 and 7.
I was tired of the constant arguments and fighting in the house and walked her through these. The point that I was making to her was from:
Matthew 5:37-45: "37 But let your word ‘YES’ be ‘YES’ and your ‘NO’ be ‘NO’. And what goes beyond these is from the wicked one 38 You heard that it was said ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth’ 39 but I say to you, do not resist the wicked. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 And he who wishes to sue you and take away your inner garment, let him have your outer garment as well. 41 And whoever compels you to go 1 mile, go with him 2. 42 Give to him who asks of you, and from him who wishes to borrow from you, do not turn away. 43 You heard it said ‘You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those cursing you, do good to those hating you, and pray for those insulting you and persecuting you, 45 so that you become sons of your Father in the Shamayim. Because He makes His son rise in the wicked and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust".
Matthew 7 “Do not judge, lest you be judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged. And with the same measure you use, it shall be measured to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? 4 Or how is it that you say your to brother, ‘let me remove the speck out of your eye,’ and see, a log is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the log from you own eye, and then you shall see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye. 6 Do not give what is set-apart to the dogs, nor throw your pearls before the pigs, lest they trample them under their feet and turn and tear you in pieces. 7 Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you. (Seek in His word, and your will find Truth) 8 For everyone who asks receives and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened. (Opened = revealed) 9 Or is there a man among you who, if his son asks for bread, shall give him a stone. 10 Or if he asks for a fish, shall he give him a snake? 11 If you then, being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in the shamayim give what is good to those who ask him! 12 Therefore, whatever you wish men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Turah and the Prophets. 13 Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it. 15 But beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are savage wolves. 16 By their fruits you shall know them. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? 17 So every good tree yields good fruit, but a rotten tree yields wicked fruit. 18 A good tree is unable to yield wicked fruit, and a rotten tree to yield good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, by their fruits you shall know them – 21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the shamayim, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the shamayim. 22 Many shall say to me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name? 23 And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’ (without Turah) 24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does them, shall be like a wise man who built his house on the rock, 25 and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine, and does not do them, shall be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand, 27 and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it fell, and great was its fall.’ 28 And it came to be, when Yahusha had ended these words, that people were astounded at His teaching, 29 for He was teaching them as one possessing authority, and nit as the scribes.
