HEBREW for “Surrender “ :

2778 Charaph - to pull off, i.e. (by implication) to expose (as by stripping); specifically, to betroth (as if a surrender); figuratively, to carp at,(to complain or find fault, esp in a petty or nagging way) i.e. defame; denominative, (naming) to spend the winter:--betroth, blaspheme, defy, jeopard (risk) rail (scold), reproach, upbraid. (rebuke, reprimand).

4042 Magan - to shield; encompass with; figuratively, to rescue, to hand safely over (i.e. surrender):--deliver.

4376 Makar - to sell, literally (as merchandise, a daughter in marriage, into slavery), or figuratively (to surrender):--X at all, sell (away, -er, self).

5462 Cagar - to shut up; figuratively, to surrender:--close up, deliver (up), give over (up), inclose, X pure, repair, shut (in, self, out, up, up together), stop X straitly.

5534 Caker - to shut up; by implication, to surrender:--stop, give over.

SCRIPTURES ON SURRENDER :

These Scriptures emphasise the importance  of surrendering to Alahim’s will : 

James 4:7 calls believers to “Submit yourselves therefore to Alahim. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you,” and ...

Matthew 16:25 says, “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it”.

Romans 12:2: 

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Alahim’s will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will”.

Mark 14:35-36: 

“And going a little farther, He fell on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. And He said, ‘Abba, Father,’ everything is possible for You. Take this cup from Me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.’”

Yahusha is in the Garden of Gethsemane, showing us the ultimate act of surrender, submitting to Alahim’s will even in the face of intense suffering

to His death. 

Proverbs 3:5-6:

“Trust in Yahusha with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Luke 9:23: 

“Then He said to them all: ‘Whoever wants to be My Disciple must deny themselves and take up their stake daily and follow  Me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it’”.

Job 11:13-19 

“Surrender your heart to Alahim, turn to Him in prayer, and give up your sins, even those you do in secret. Then you won’t be ashamed, you will be confident and fearless. Your troubles will go away like water beneath a bridge”.

What is the spiritual meaning of surrender? ... it's about forgetting what you think you need. It’s about releasing the need to control the outcome. Instead, choose Yahusha’s voice for your divine guidance, not our own!

How do we truly surrender to Yahusha?

Give up control ... be grateful for what you have ... know the language of truth ... use the Words of Scripture in everyday language ... Have a forgiving heart, and apologise for every wrong.

What's stopping us? ... relying on our own mind, checking the truth of our thinking, twisting and manoeuvring it to suit the amount of exposure we want seen! (How’s that when we’re caught out?? Do we try to gain back, save face and bury the truth that’s come to us... thinking it will go away?) 

When we hear His truth, we are accustomed to checking it with our mindset and listening to another voice that will test the truth and want us to put our understanding or slant on the truth that has come. Our thoughts (who we are listening to) are always to protect ourselves and our reputation, giving us a false impression of the truth so we stay inside ourselves, never to really reveal what’s really going on and how we really feel. That private life inside us, where we protect ourselves, our secrets, and confrontations, reflects who we want to present to people around us.

Yet Yahusha has come into our hearts and blown us apart, exposing our whole impersonation of what we’ve built up, and we are generally so shocked and scramble around, trying to put all those pieces back together again ... to save face, shame, whatever ... instead of facing the truth, repenting and getting free and changing that behaviour.

Girls, we are in such a state when faced with trying to have real relationships with family or husbands. Listen to the words that come out of our mouths?

Words can kill or give life !!!

Mostly women are so angry they want to attack whoever is in their way ... and this comes as a result of our behaviour ... what we’ve sown. We have been given a role in the home as a wife to respect our husbands and treat them as we would Yahusha ... His role is really the same, and as head of the home, he has to hear from Yahusha and implement the truth in the home, with us supporting in every way. Much easier than the husband’s responsibility. Only then can we be equal if we jump into these roles and surrender to Yahusha

in everything.

“Humble yourselves, therefore ... 

(get down, how many compliments do we need? just shows how lacking we are if we need that) ... under the mighty hand of Alahim so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour ... Resist him, firm in your belief... And after you have suffered a little while, the Alahim of all favour, Who has called you, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you”.

It is no longer I who live, but Yahusha Who lives in me. .. I live in the flesh, in the world, but am not of the world.... living by belief in Yahusha, Who loves me and gave Himself for me.

Surrender is the act of truly letting go, trusting and accepting His Word above everything. Trusting will stop any distracting thoughts from the evil one and you will have Yahusha’s power to know and speak the language of truth.

Surrender your heart to Yahusha, turn to Him, and give up your ways—they don’t work! Then you won’t be ashamed; you will be confident and strong. Your troubles will go away and you’ll feel right .. and free .. and equal.

Isaiah 46 

“I will be your Alahim throughout your lifetime — until your hair is white with

age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you”.

Yahusha will never leave you. Surrender to our wonderful deliverer Yahusha  & He will restore,  strengthen and establish you in His family.
